Everything you need to know to keep your Floatopia favourites clean, cared for, and ready for your next splash.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I keep my floatie clean?
After each use, rinse your floatie with fresh water to remove chlorine, salt, sand, and sunscreen. Let it air-dry completely before packing it away. For a deeper clean, gently wipe it with a soft cloth, mild soap, and water. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, abrasive sponges, or strong cleaners, as these can damage the material and colour.
How should I store my floatie?
Make sure your floatie is fully clean and dry before storing it. Deflate it gently, fold it loosely, and keep it somewhere cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight. Avoid storing it near sharp objects, heaters, or damp areas. Keeping it in its original packaging or a soft storage bag is ideal.
Can I leave my floatie outside?
We recommend bringing it indoors after use. Long periods in direct sun, rain, or heat can cause fading and wear over time. A little care keeps your Floatopia piece looking bright and pool-ready for longer.
How do I inflate my floatie?
Use a hand pump, foot pump, or electric pump with a suitable attachment. Inflate until firm, but do not overinflate - especially on hot days, when air inside can expand. Always follow the care and safety guidance on your product packaging.
What if my floatie gets a small puncture?
Most inflatable products include, or can be repaired with, a suitable vinyl repair patch. Dry and clean the area first, then follow the repair-kit instructions carefully. Avoid using the floatie until the repair is fully secure.
Are Floatopia floaties safety devices?
No. Our floaties are designed for fun and relaxation, not as life-saving or personal flotation devices. Children should always be supervised by a responsible adult in and around water.
Can I use sunscreen while using my floatie?
Absolutely - sun protection is essential. Just rinse sunscreen residue off your floatie after use, as oils and lotions can build up on the surface over time.
